Holy shit FB Marketplace suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Searching for a car on there is almost impossible, no way to sort, shit coming up wrong, WTF this is the worst classifieds site I’ve ever tried to use
Maybe people don’t know that cars.com has a free option, so if you didn’t know, you know now :o)
And also, if your car isn;t worth paying $5 to list, it’s a piece of shit not worth selling, anyway. Just drive it to the junkyard.

It sucks if you’re trying to find something specific and got used to writing Craigslist queries. If you use ambiguous terms, it gets easier, but you have to sort through a lot of false positives. After a while it learns your tastes and finds things for you.

Yep, Facebook is total shit, however I've had more success there than CL over the past year or so (from a selling perspective)

I’ve had the reverse. 90% of the sales I’ve made in the past year have been off Craigslist, even with identical posts on Facebook. I haven’t sold any cars this year, just parts though.

I just went through this looking for comanche’s/cherokees for my project. The number of people who cant answer a simple question is astounding. All i want to know is if the fenders are solid or rusted out, responding with “not bad” is literally 0 help. Or the people that just didnt want me to come and give them money

Agreed that it’s horrible from a buyers experience and I’ve had luck selling stuff there so I’m still forced to engage. Their algorithm for what I might like is pretty good though, figured out I was someone who might like a used welder without me ever looking at one.

It’s hot garbage alright, even for selling. When I had my NC listed e arlier this year, the only transmission option FB had was a checkbox for automatic. Regardless of whether or not I checked said box, it would appear on the ad as an automatic. They eventually fixed it a few weeks after I reported it, but one wonders how that could even go wrong in the first place. Couple that with FB’s ad design hiding all but the first ~100 characters of description text behind a Show More link (which apparently isn’t even colored/styled like a link any more, so that’s neat) and I wound up having to field 2-3x more “this was already answered in the ad...” questions than what came from CL.

My tip is to search potential alternatives to the proper spelling of the vehicle you are looking for.
Camaro-camero, camro, comero, comaro...
I’ve seen all these examples on FB marketplace
